Last checked: September 2026. Document requirements can change, and the embassy or visa centre may ask for additional papers. Always check the latest checklist on the official website of the Embassy of Türkiye in Islamabad or its authorised visa application centre before you apply.
Türkiye is one of the most popular holiday destinations for Pakistani travellers, but most applicants need a sticker visa, which takes several weeks and requires a complete set of documents. Missing or weak documents are the most common reason for delays and refusals. This guide gives you a complete checklist, organised by your situation, so you can prepare everything in one go.
First: Do You Need an e-Visa or a Sticker Visa?
- Conditional e-Visa: available only if you hold a valid visa or residence permit from the US, UK, Ireland or a Schengen country. You apply online at evisa.gov.tr, and it usually allows a single entry of up to 30 days.
- Sticker visa: for everyone else. You apply through the Embassy of Türkiye or its authorised visa application centre in Pakistan. At the time of writing, a three-month single-entry tourist visa costs PKR 52,200, and processing usually takes about six weeks or more.
The checklist below is mainly for the sticker visa. For more background, read our Turkey visa guide for Pakistanis.
Basic Documents (Everyone)
- Passport valid for at least 6 months beyond your travel dates, with at least 2 blank pages
- Old passports, especially ones with previous visas
- Completed visa application form, signed
- Recent passport-size photos with a white background, meeting the embassy’s photo requirements
- CNIC copy
- Family Registration Certificate (FRC) from NADRA
- Cover letter explaining the purpose of your trip, your travel dates and who is paying
- Travel health insurance covering your whole stay in Türkiye
- Return flight reservation (a reservation is enough, do not buy a non-refundable ticket before your visa)
- Hotel bookings for your full stay
- Day-by-day travel plan
- Polio vaccination certificate, which Pakistan requires for international travellers
Financial Documents (Everyone)
- Bank statement for the last 6 months, stamped and signed by the bank
- Bank maintenance letter showing your current balance
- Income tax returns or a tax certificate, if available
Your balance should comfortably cover your trip, and your transactions should match your income. Avoid large deposits just before applying. If you received a large amount, such as from selling property, attach documents that show where it came from. For more detail, see our guide to bank statement requirements for visas.

Tips for a Smooth Application
- Apply early. With processing taking six weeks or more, apply at least 2 months before you travel.
- Make every detail match. Dates, names and amounts must be the same on your form, cover letter, bookings and insurance.
- Organise your file. Put documents in the order of the checklist. It makes the officer’s job easier.
- Keep copies. Make photocopies of everything you submit.
- Be honest. Declare any previous visa refusals.
Common Mistakes
- Using an unofficial e-Visa website that charges much higher fees. The only official site is evisa.gov.tr.
- Applying for the e-Visa without holding a valid US, UK, Ireland or Schengen visa or residence permit
- Unstamped bank statements or statements older than one month
- Hotel bookings that do not cover the full stay
- Booking non-refundable flights before the visa is approved

A sticker visa usually takes about six weeks or more. An e-Visa, if you qualify, is usually issued much faster.
