Step 2: About your trip

Visa Fee

Visa application centres (such as VFS Global or BLS) also charge a separate service fee, which differs by country. Check the exact amount on the centre’s website.

Remember: Apply to the embassy of the country where you will spend the most nights. If you spend the same number of nights in several countries, apply to the country you will enter first. You can apply up to 6 months before travel and at least 15 days before.

This checklist is for general guidance. Each Schengen country may ask for extra documents, so always check the embassy or visa centre’s own checklist.
