Türkiye (Turkey) is one of the most popular holiday destinations for Pakistanis. Pakistani passport holders need a visa to visit, and there is no visa on arrival. There are two ways to get one: the quick online e-Visa (only for people who meet certain conditions) and the regular sticker visa from the embassy. This guide explains both.
Note: Dream Visa Guide is a free informational website. We do not process visa applications. The only official e-Visa website is evisa.gov.tr. Be careful of look-alike websites that charge extra fees.
Option 1: Turkey e-Visa (Conditional)
Pakistan is on the list of countries that can get a conditional e-Visa. This means you can apply online only if you hold a supporting document.
Who Is Eligible?
You must have a valid visa or residence permit from one of these:
- A Schengen country
- The United States
- The United Kingdom
- Ireland
Important:
- The supporting visa or residence permit must be valid on the date you enter Turkey.
- e-Visas and e-residence permits from these countries are usually not accepted as supporting documents. A visa sticker in your passport or a physical residence card is expected.
- The e-Visa website shows extra conditions for your nationality before you pay (for example, about your return ticket, hotel booking or funds). Read them carefully and make sure you meet all of them.
- Airline staff and Turkish border officers will check your supporting visa. If it does not meet the rules, you can be refused boarding or entry.
Key Details
- Stay: Usually up to 30 days, single entry
- Fee: Shown on evisa.gov.tr at the payment step (paid online by card)
- Processing: Usually issued within minutes after payment
- Passport: Should be valid for at least 6 months beyond your entry date
How to Apply for the e-Visa
- Go to the official website evisa.gov.tr.
- Select Pakistan as your nationality and choose your travel document.
- Enter your arrival date and confirm that you meet the conditions.
- Enter your passport details and the details of your supporting visa or residence permit.
- Pay the fee online with a debit or credit card.
- Download and print your e-Visa. Carry it with your passport and supporting visa.
Option 2: Turkey Sticker Visa
If you do not have a valid US, UK, Schengen or Irish visa, you must apply for a sticker visa through the Embassy of Türkiye in Islamabad or the official visa application centre in Pakistan.
Common Documents for a Tourist Sticker Visa
- Passport valid for at least 6 months, with blank pages, plus old passports
- Completed visa application form
- Recent passport-size photographs
- CNIC copy
- Bank statement for the last 6 months and a bank maintenance certificate
- Employment letter, or business documents if self-employed
- Income tax returns / NTN, if available
- Hotel booking and return flight reservation
- Travel medical insurance
- Family Registration Certificate (FRC), if travelling with family
The exact checklist, fee and processing time are set by the embassy and the visa centre. Always check their official website before applying, and apply at least 4–6 weeks before your travel date.

Common Mistakes to Avoid
- Using a fake e-Visa website: Many websites look official but charge much more. Only use evisa.gov.tr.
- Supporting visa expiring: Check that your US, UK or Schengen visa is valid on your arrival date in Turkey.
- Using an e-Visa from another country as support: Usually not accepted.
- Overstaying: Staying longer than allowed can lead to fines and an entry ban.
- Trying to work on a tourist visa: A tourist visa does not allow work.
